K20CETC Projects > New Media

Overall Goals:
To facilitate partnerships that create efficiencies, enhance effectiveness, or hold great promise for creating new discoveries that demonstrate effective, innovative, network-enabled approaches to teaching and learning.

To make it possible for all faculty/teachers and students across the state to create or access and use free, high-quality, standards-aligned online learning resources including but not limited to the UC College Preparation Program's Advanced Placement courses in an efficient manner.

Objectives:
The joint efforts to support student, teacher, and faculty access to and use of digital resources available in each segment are being taken in order to accomplish the following objectives:
  1. To achieve greater impact from the investment of state/federal funds that may have been used to create the digital resources.
  2. To reduce duplication of effort.
  3. To reduce to time it takes to find digital resources.
  4. To increase the likelihood that resources accessed are well-suited to individual users' unique needs.
  5. To increase awareness of the availability of digital resources that exist within each segment and stimulate greater usage.

Searchable K-20 Video Catalogue: June 2008, Revised version (based on feedback): January 2009
Digital Marketplace prototype: January 2009
